Welcome to the cabaret! Aurélien Lehmann and his whirlwind swing band take you to New York, into the heart of the Roaring Twenties. Aboard the Blues Express, a journey to meet the pioneers of jazz — from Jelly Roll Morton to Louis Armstrong. Tap dance, swing and comedy, for all ages.
Step aboard the Blues Express and let yourself be swept away to New York in the Roaring Twenties. Speakeasies, Cotton Club nights, Broadway lights — this is the atmosphere Aurélien Lehmann and his swing band recreate on stage, with authenticity, humor and infectious joy.
Along the way, you'll meet the pioneers who invented modern music: Jelly Roll Morton, Louis Armstrong, Duke Ellington, Fats Waller and the great singers of the era. Each stop is a mini-show — tap dance number, swing tune, comedy sketch — carried by whirlwind musical energy.
Behind the entertainment lies a real artistic ambition: to bring the golden age of jazz alive for today's audiences, from grandparents to grandchildren. A show designed to be enjoyed together, across generations, in a shared moment of pure swing.

THE CONCEPT
The Story
The year is 1925. Set against a backdrop worthy of the Roaring Twenties, a train hurtling at full steam crosses the United States, from New Orleans to New York. On board, a troupe of whimsical musicians led by Aurélien Lehmann—aka Walt, a virtuoso tap dancer and charismatic bandleader—takes the audience on a musical journey through time, swing, and the madness of jazz.
Combining explosive tap dancing, live music, and musical theater, the show brings the golden age of jazz back to life with humor, elegance, and infectious energy. Each stop on the Blues Express evokes an era, a city, a style: the sultry atmosphere of Storyville, the effervescence of Charleston, the frenzy of Chicago, the splendor of Harlem, and the glamour of Broadway.

Blending theatrical storytelling, musical performance, and spectacular tap dance numbers, SWING BAND CABARET is a vibrant tribute to the birth of jazz and the creative freedom of the 1920s. Que dire du spectacle ? Que j'ai passé une soirée absolument fabuleuse au son du jazz du début du siècle en compagnie de musiciens de talent et d'un maître de cérémonie hors pair. Le concert, construit comme un spectacle, nous raconte un voyage allant jusqu'à New York. Les musiciens vont rencontrer plusieurs acolytes au cours de ce périple.
Pour tout dire, la soirée est d'une excellente qualité. Le choix des chansons, leurs interprétations. Aurélien Lehmann dirige l'ensemble, anime la soirée, chante très bien et assure les parties de tap dance avec brio. À ses côtés on trouve des musiciens de grand talent : Garry Nayah, Mathieu Meyer, Jérôme Etcheberry, Jonathan Gomis. Aurélien est également accompagné par une touche de charme et d'humour incarnée par l'irrésistible Ô de mon Chéri à la voix chaude et maîtrisée qui vous fera chavirer à chacune de ses apparitions.
Une ambiance de club de jazz, de la musique qui fait chaud au cœur, de l'humour. On en ressort plus léger, comme si nous avions nous aussi fait un bout de voyage avec le SWING BAND CABARET ! J'ai adoré ! Ne manquez pas les prochaines dates. Et je serai dans la salle ! Programmateurs, tourneurs, ce spectacle est à voir absolument ! Bravo Aurélien !
