A virtuosic and flamboyant tap dance jazz concert. Dancer-percussionist Aurélien Lehmann surrounds himself with three exceptional musicians for a concert in the footsteps of the jazz legends: Oscar Peterson, Ahmad Jamal, Michel Petrucciani.
Soul Feet is not a dance show — it's a jazz concert, where tap dance takes its place among the instruments. Piano, double bass, drums… and tap shoes. Four musicians, one language: swing, groove, and the improvisation that makes jazz what it is.
The repertoire pays tribute to the piano-trio tradition — from Oscar Peterson's virtuosity to Ahmad Jamal's spatial elegance and Michel Petrucciani's melodic invention — while opening room for tap dance as a full-fledged voice in the ensemble.
The result is a concert that redefines what tap dance can be: not just an entertainment number, but a serious musical form — with the technical precision of the great jazz standards and the freedom of real improvisation.
