An internationally renowned tap dance virtuoso, author, choreographer, and performer in numerous musical productions, Aurélien Lehmann has developed a masterful art of American tap dance, drawing on a repertoire that ranges from jazz to classical music.
His physical approach to music and his unparalleled technical mastery take American Broadway tap dance into uncharted territory, from jazz to classical music.
Considered a “composer in motion,” equally at ease with choreography and pure improvisation, he establishes tap dancing as a true instrument of musical expression.
After premiering TAP VIRTUOSO on the main stage of the Théâtre du Châtelet in 2022, he made his New York debut on the legendary stage of Birdland Jazz (Broadway). In 2026, he received the “Best Choreography” award for “La Cage aux Folles” (directed by Olivier Py) at the Trophées de la Comédie Musicale.
